Scavenger Hunt takes longer (2-2:30 h), and you will need to solve clues to progress. You will be able to compete for the fastest time on our leaderboard and win a prize. Alternatively, you can choose to go at a leisurely pace and take more time to enjoy your surroundings. Self-Guided Tour takes less time (1-1:30 h) and you receive detailed instructions and Google Maps waypoints to lead you on your way. It's a good way to explore the city efficiently, while receiving all the fascinating background info at your fingertips. Hunts and Tours that share a thematic will have the same routes and texts, so you won't miss out on content regardless of your choice. If you have more time on your hands and you're up for a fun challenge, the Scavenger Hunt is the way to go. Conversely, if you want to conserve time and just get to know Dubrovnik, its history, and its GoT filming locations better, you should choose the Self-Guided Tour.

It's actually not that complicated: Once you purchase the trail, you will get the link to access our Telegram chatbot and your code to start the Scavenger Hunt. You will also get detailed instructions on how to reach the starting point. You can contact us via email or Instagram if you encounter any hurdles along the way.

You can go by yourself, or bring a couple more eager adventurers with you. Whatever works for you! You will all be interacting with the same device and trying to solve the same clues together. Alternatively, you could make it into a competition by purchasing multiple trails. *IMPORTANT: Your email is your activation code, so you will need to use a different email at checkout with every new purchase!*

This activity can be enjoyed by adventurers of all ages. However, there are a few disclaimers: Dubrovnik is a city on a cliff, built into a side of a hill. Therefore, there are approximately 180 uphill stairs scattered throughout the route. If your movement is seriously impaired, you should reconsider your choice of activity. You should also take notice of the weather and heat. If you have cardiovascular health concerns, you should pick a time or day without excessive heat, and keep hydrated throughout. You need a smartphone with Telegram App installed and access to internet connection. We also recommend that you bring some water and snacks to keep yourself hydrated and energized during the trail.

You should go during day time to ensure all locations of interest are open and accessible. Additionally, some clues will not be adequately lit up during night time, rendering the scavenger hunt practically impossible to complete. Allow yourself at least 1:30-2 hours of daylight to complete the trail. Unless provided with sufficient evidence of adverse circumstances, we will not issue a refund for a trail incomplete due to darkness. Check our refund and cancellation policy for more detail. If you, for some reason, still decide to go during the night, and somehow manage to complete the scavenger hunt, your name/team name will be featured on the Night's Watch portion of the leaderboards page. Game of Thrones Self-Guided Tour, Dubrovnik History Scavenger Hunt and Self-Guided Tour do not require any prior knowledge to complete. You need prior GoT knowledge to complete the Game of Thrones Scavenger Hunt without asking for hints. A number of clues can be completed without prior GoT knowledge, so you can still have a great time :)

Our trails are designed to highlight exciting places to see and visit, but not to actually enter any that require you to buy tickets during the trail itself. The price of our trail is the only money you need to spend during this experience. Alternatively, a beneficial aspect of our trails is the option to pause them. This way, you can go for a City Walls hike, for a swim, or to sample some local delicacies and beverages, just to list some examples. When ready, you simply resume your adventure.

Dubrovnik is one of the safest cities in the world, not just when it comes to tourist destinations, but in general. Additionally, Croatia itself was recently named Europe's second safest country. All the streets are safe to explore, even during the night. Yeah, we know. Crazy, right?

Both the scavenger hunt at the self-guided tour work through the Telegram app. You will need internet access to receive clues and instructions, which will guide you through charming locations. In the scavenger hunt, you will receive cryptic clues, and you will progress by solving these mysteries. In the self-guided tour, you will receive Google Maps waypoints and detailed instructions to reach the same locations. In both, your progress will be rewarded by supplementary photographs and detailed background information.

We measure time between start (Letsgo) and finish (final clue). You can choose to go as fast as you can to compete for prizes, or to take it easy and take in the views. Throughout the Scavenger Hunt, you will have several aids at your disposal. Just type one of these words in the app. HINT: If you're unsure on how to proceed when presented with a challenging riddle, you can type HINT once per riddle. This will hopefully bring you closer to solving it. However, this comes at a cost: a 5 minutes added to your completion time. LOST: If you are still lost, just type LOST. This will grant you with a Google Maps waypoint pinpointing the exact location you'll need to reach in order to solve the clue. This will cost you 15 minutes. SKIP: Typing SKIP will simply bypass that whole riddle and its clues. You'll immediately receive a Google Maps waypoint leading you to the starting position for the next riddle and supplementary text and photos. Using this will render you ineligible for your place on the leaderboard. STOP: Typing STOP will simply pause your time while you relax and enjoy the city. You are allowed two separate stops to still be eligible for your place on the leaderboard.

You need to start your trail within 1 month from the purchase. You need to complete it during the same day in which you started it. Once you have the link and the code(s), you can choose any day that suits you to start the trail. You have to finish it during that same day, because your session will otherwise expire.
